A Pathological Survey on the Needle Biopsy Materials of Viral Hepatitis



Abstract
A clinical observation was made on 100 cases of the chronic prostatitis of the outpatients in the Department of Urology, Han-Il Hospital during the period January, 1969 through May, 1969 and the following results were obtained.
1) During the period, chronic prostatitis was diagnosed in 125 cases or 24. 2 percent of the 516 outpatients.
2) 95 percent of the cases were observed among the ages between 21 to 40 years.
3) Of the cases,.82.complained of subjective symptoms but the remainder was free of symptoms. Most frecuently observed complaints was urinary symptoms such as urethral discharge or morning drops, urethral discomfort or itching perinea dull pain, lumbosacral pain, uprapubic discomfort, knee joint pain, poor libido and general weakness were also common.
4) On prostatic palpation 78 cases were abnormal and the remainder showed normal. Most frequent - abnormality was firmness.
5) Microscopic examination of the prostatic fluid showed white blood cells more than 11 per high power field in 76 cases where the subjective symptoms and rectal prostatic findings were present, but in a few cases the prostatic fluid was within normal limits where the prostate is felt abnormal. In some cases where there prostates were felt normal the prostatic fluid showed abnormality
